Now complete, this purpose-built student accommodation project delivers 119 rooms across four levels, featuring a robust concrete structure, a concrete roof, and a basement car park with substantial bike storage. The façade combines brick, metal, and rendered finishes, ensuring durability and minimal maintenance. Interiors are designed for longevity, with high-quality, low-maintenance materials that withstand the demands of student living while maintaining a modern and functional aesthetic.
AG Construct was engaged as an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) Builder to lead the design team and deliver the project as efficiently as possible. A key focus was optimising the concrete structure while overcoming the challenges posed by a high water table and sandy ground conditions. Through close collaboration with the Services Engineers, we developed cost-effective and energy-efficient solutions, including the implementation of reed switches for mechanical services to regulate energy usage effectively.
We also worked closely with the Architect’s Interior Designer to carefully select fittings and fixtures that aligned with budget constraints while prioritising energy efficiency, durability, and long-term warranties. This approach delivered a high-quality, low-maintenance outcome that meets the needs of both residents and operators.
Completed in late 2025, the project was successfully handed over in time for the 2026 student intake — a critical milestone AG Construct delivered on schedule.
